FAQ

Audiobook Editing FAQs

How much does audiobook editing cost?

Our packages start at $35 per finished hour for ACX mastering only, $75 for editing and mastering, and $110 for complete production with word-for-word proofing. A typical 8-hour book with complete production costs about $880.

How long does it take to edit an audiobook?

Most books of 6–10 finished hours are delivered in 7–12 business days. Rush delivery is available. We confirm your delivery date with your quote.

Will my audiobook pass ACX?

We master every file to ACX’s RMS, peak, noise-floor and format requirements and check each chapter before delivery. If ACX flags a technical issue on files we mastered, we fix it free.

Do you use AI to edit audiobooks?

We use professional tools for noise reduction, but every edit and every listen is done by a human editor. One-click AI cleanup often makes voices sound thin and robotic, so we don’t rely on it.

What files should I send?

Send uncompressed WAV files (16- or 24-bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz), one file per chapter if possible, with no heavy processing applied. Include your final manuscript for proofing.

Can you edit an audiobook I recorded at home?

Yes. Most of our clients record at home. If your raw audio has issues we can’t fully fix, we’ll tell you on the free sample before you pay anything.
